Dr Fiona McGaughey is an Associate Professor of International Human Rights Law at the University of Western Australia (‘UWA’). Fiona has published widely on United Nations human rights mechanisms, the role of NGOs in international human rights law, and business and human rights (including modern slavery). Prior to joining UWA, Fiona held research and policy roles in the not-for-profit sector in Ireland and Australia, specialising in racial equality and disability rights. She is co-convenor of the interdisciplinary UWA Modern Slavery Research Cluster.
