Wing Hong Chui is Professor in the Department of Applied Social Sciences at City University of Hong Kong.

Prior to this, he held lecturing positions in the Department of Social Work and Probation Studies at the University of Exeter, UK, in the formerly School of Social Work and Social Policy at the University of Queensland, and in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration at The University of Hong Kong.

His areas of interest include social work, youth studies, criminology and criminal justice.

He has published articles in British Journal of Social Work, International Social Work, Journal of Social Work Practice, British Journal of Criminology, European Journal of Criminology, and Australian and New Zealand Journal of Criminology. He is the co-editor or co-author of several books: Moving Probation Forward: Evidence, Arguments and Practice (2003, Pearson Education), School Social Work: Current Practice and Research (Nova Publishers, 2013) and Responding to Youth Crime in Hong Kong (2014, Routledge).
