Dr Lisa Palmer is a lecturer in the School of Anthropology, Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Melbourne where she teaches and researches in the fields of indigenous natural and cultural resource management.

Between 2002 and 2005 she was a postdoctoral fellow working with the research project on Agreements, Treaties and Negotiated Settlements. Prior to this she completed her doctoral research on the joint management of Kakadu National Park.

She is a co-editor of Honour Among Nations? Treaties and Agreements with Indigenous People.
