Jill Wilson, AO, PhD is a Professor and Director of Research at the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work at the University of Queensland. She teaches in the areas of health and ageing, social work practice and the integration of field and class knowledge. She researches in the areas of substitute decision making, aged-care, the management of older people’s assets, the financial abuse of older people, end of life decision making, making and challenging wills and the impact of cognitive impairment in decisions around wills and for children in care. Her research is focused on the intersection of policy and practice and aims to improve social work practice with older people.
