Dr Jerry Ratcliffe is Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice, Temple University, Philadelphia.
Previous positions include with the Australian Institute of Criminology as a Senior Research Analyst and a Lecturer in Policing (Intelligence) in the School of Policing Studies at Charles Sturt University. Prior to academia, he served for eleven years with the Metropolitan Police in London (UK) on patrol and with the Diplomatic Protection Group. In 2007, Dr Ratcliffe was awarded the Professional Service Award for outstanding contributions to criminal intelligence analysis by the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA).
He is author of a number of titles:
