Emma Scotney (BA; LLB (Hons)) is a corporate lawyer with experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions and capital market raisings. Emma commenced her career in private practice with HopgoodGanim Lawyers before moving in-house as Legal Counsel with mining technology company Imdex Limited. In additional to her legal experience, Emma also holds non-executive directorships on a number of ASX-listed mining company boards and is a Commissioner of the Insurance Commission of Western Australia. The Negotiation of Key Merger & Acquisition Clauses: Getting the Deal Done is Emma’s first publication and she hopes this book encapsulates much of the usually unwritten guidance generally imparted to new to mid-corporate lawyers on the job by engaging with more seasoned practitioners.
