Ben Chen is a Senior Lecturer in Law at The University of Sydney Law School where he teaches Contracts, Equity and Private International Law. He researches in the areas of equity and trusts, civil litigation and game theory, drawing on his dual doctoral-level qualifications in both law and economics. In particular, he explores how best to develop and apply equitable doctrines to resolve inheritance disputes. Ben also develops game-theoretic models of contests and adjudication to better incorporate bounded rationality, other-regarding preferences and externalities. His work has been cited extra-judicially by judges of the New South Wales and Queensland Courts of Appeal.
