Dr William Isdale is a barrister with a broad civil practice, and an Adjunct Fellow of the University of Queensland’s School of Law. He holds a PhD in law from the University of Queensland for a thesis on the topic of native title compensation (supervised by Adjunct Professors Jonathan Fulcher and the Honourable Justice Andrew Greenwood). Previously he worked as a Senior Legal Officer at the Australian Law Reform Commission, as a solicitor at MinterEllison, and as Associate to the Honourable Justice John Dowsett AM on the Federal Court of Australia. Dr Isdale was the winner of the Holt Prize in 2021.
