Professor Rocque Reynolds is Dean of Law at the Australian Catholic University. She is a leading authority on administrative law, intellectual property and regulatory theory and her text books in these fields are used throughout Australia. Rocque specialises in regulatory design for food, food security, and agriculture; and intellectual property law with particular reference to plant breeders’ rights, geographical indicators, traditional knowledge, and the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. As a lawyer in a large legal firm and independent legal consultant Rocque has advised Australian and international firms and industry bodies on many aspects of food and agricultural regulation to produce focused, industry relevant research. She has been the Investigator on two ARC and two RIRDC research projects.

She has conducted large scale qualitative and quantitative research into the social and legal impact of contract growing in Australian agriculture, and has supervised post graduate research into a number of regulatory authorities including the NSW Food Authority, the GM Regulator and the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal.

Rocque was Dean of Law and Head of School of the Southern Cross University School of Law and Justice from 2011–2015.
