Professor Linda Briskman holds the Margaret Whitlam Chair of Social Work at Western Sydney University. She conducts research and publishes extensively in the field of social work and human rights. Her main areas of focus are Indigenous rights, asylum seeker rights and challenging Islamophobia.

Her most recent book is Social Work with Indigenous Communities: A human rights approach (Federation Press 2014).
