Caroline Hart is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba. She began her investigations into ‘the lives of regional lawyers’ in 2010, travelling throughout Queensland to carry out interviews with over 30 partners and sole practitioners. Caroline is regularly invited to speak both nationally and internationally on the legal profession. Her networks and contacts extend into the US and UK, enabling her to access international approaches on firm performance back into the regional context. Caroline publishes in academic and legal profession journals, and has an extensive background in consulting into the public sector and law reform. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Politics) and Bachelor of Laws (UQ) and a Masters of Law in technology and privacy issues, and a PhD in sustainable regional legal practice. Caroline has spent most of her life in regional locations – both in Australia and England. She has three beautiful grown-up children.
