Melissa Crouch is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at the Asian Law Centre, the University of Melbourne. She completed her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) at the University of Melbourne in 2006. She is currently the recipient of a Doctoral Scholarship of Professor Tim Lindsey’s ARC Federation Fellowship on ‘Islam and Modernity: Syari’ah, Terrorism and Governance in South-East Asia’ and the recipient of an Endeavour Australia Research Fellowship.
