Megan Davis joined UNSW Law in 2007 as Director of the Indigenous Law Centre. Between 2002 and 2004 Megan was Director of the Bill of Rights Project at the Gilbert + Tobin Centre of Public Law on secondment from her position as Legal Counsel in the legal branch of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commissioner in Canberra.

Megan is a Professor of Law and an expert member of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in New York. Megan is also a Commissioner of the NSW Land and Environment Court and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law.

In 2017, Professor Megan Davis was appointed UNSW’s first Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous.
