Jeremy Gans is a Professor at Melbourne Law School, The University of Melbourne. He is author of Modern Criminal Law of Australia, 2nd edn (Cambridge UP, 2017) and the co-author of Uniform Evidence (Oxford UP, 2014) and Criminal Process and Human Rights (Federation Press, 2011). He is the human rights advisor to the Victorian Parliament’s legislation scrutiny committee (since 2007) and the noticeboard editor for the International Journal of Evidence and Proof (since 2013).
