Ann was a Professor in the Faculty of Law at Monash University and the Director of its Centre for Commercial Law and Regulatory Studies (CLARS). Ann was a member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Law Council of Australia, had been a chief investigator on three ARC grants and was an author of numerous publications, including Universities and Intellectual Property: Ownership and Exploitation (OUP) and Australian Intellectual Property Law. Ann also co-edited Business Innovation and the Law: Perspectives from Intellectual Property, Labour, Competition and Corporate Law (Edward Elgar). Before entering academia, Ann was a partner in a legal firm practising in commercial and property law.
