| Simon Blackwood has been the Executive Director of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland since February 2008. For the previous nine years he was General Manager of the Queensland Government’s Division of Private Sector Industrial Relations.
He is highly experienced in the field of industrial relations having spent more than 20 years working and studying in the area. He completed his PhD in 1996 on Patterns of Industrial Conflict under Labour Governments: A Case Study of Queensland Labor, 1915-1957.
